Languages and platforms, source by source
Three official pages, three different answers: Steam's language list, the site FAQ's launch languages, and the press kit's platform row compared side by side.
Steam lists English with full audio, plus French, Italian, Spanish and Japanese; the studio FAQ says English, French, Spanish and Italian; the press kit says English and Italian. Platforms differ too: FAQ says PC, PS5 and Switch 2, press kit adds Xbox.
Last checked: 28 October 2026 — Steam store page, studio FAQ, studio press kit fact sheet.
This is the page where an unofficial guide earns its keep. Nara Studio publishes the same two facts in three places, and the three places do not agree. Nobody is lying — the store page, the FAQ and the press kit were written for different readers at different moments — but if you are deciding which platform to buy on or whether your language is supported, you need all three answers in front of you.
Languages: three official lists
| Source | Languages listed | Read on |
|---|---|---|
| Steam store page | English (full audio), French, Italian, Spanish – Spain, Japanese (full audio) | 28 Oct 2026 |
| Studio FAQ | English, French, Spanish, Italian — "more localizations might be available in the future" | 28 Oct 2026 |
| Press kit fact sheet | English, Italian | 28 Oct 2026 |
What the differences probably mean, in order of confidence:
- The Steam list is the most complete and the most current. It is also the only one that marks audio: the asterisk on that field means languages with full audio support, and on this page it sits on English and Japanese.
- The FAQ is the launch-language promise. It lists four text languages and says more may come later. It does not mention Japanese, which the Steam field does.
- The press kit is the oldest and shortest. Two languages is what a fact sheet says before localisation is locked.
The practical takeaway: if you need Japanese, the Steam field is your evidence, and it is the field the studio will have to honour or correct. If you need full audio in anything other than English or Japanese, no source promises it.
Platforms: three official answers
| Source | Platforms listed |
|---|---|
| Steam store page | Windows (PC) only — Mac and Linux both false |
| Studio FAQ | "PC via Steam, as well as on Switch 2 and PlayStation 5" |
| Press kit fact sheet | "PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch 2" |
The FAQ and the press kit agree on PC, PlayStation 5 and Switch 2. They disagree on Xbox: the press kit includes it, the FAQ does not. There is no Steam page for an Xbox version, and no store listing for a console version of any kind has been published.
| Platform | Steam page | FAQ | Press kit | Store listing exists |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Windows PC | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes (Steam) |
| PlayStation 5 | — | Yes | Yes | No |
| Nintendo Switch 2 | — | Yes | Yes | No |
| Xbox | — | — | Yes | No |
What the store fields also say
Some things are not in dispute, because they are machine-readable fields on the Steam page:
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Platforms | Windows true, Mac false, Linux false |
| Categories | Single-player, Steam Achievements, Full controller support, DualSense Controller Support, Family Sharing |
| Controller | Full controller support; DualSense features listed |
| Online | Nothing online listed — no co-op, no multiplayer, no cross-play |
How to use this page
- Buying on PC: safe. The Steam page exists and is the only storefront with a live listing.
- Buying on console: wait for a console store listing. The FAQ is a promise, not a product page, and platform promises two years out are the most commonly revised thing in this industry.
- Playing in your language: check the Steam field, because that is the field the studio is held to, and it is the only one that distinguishes audio from text.
This page will be re-read every time any of the three sources changes. The date at the top tells you when it was last true.
