Quick answer

Nara Studio is a Milan-based team publishing under Narastudio. The public record runs from a Kickstarter that funded in ten minutes in February 2026, to a Steam page and a new trailer on 27 October 2026, to a booth at Lucca Comics and Games from 28 October.

A dark, rain-lit stretch of the Valley

Nara Studio is small, Italian, and unusually open about its production. Almost everything on this page comes from the studio's own pages rather than from press coverage, because there has been very little press coverage — the game was announced to the public on 27 October 2026.

The double spelling is worth knowing if you are searching: Steam and the announcement posts use Nara Studio, the copyright line and press contact use Narastudio. Same team, same domain.

Two things stand out in that table. The first is the gap: eight months between a funded campaign and a Steam page, with no demo and no Early Access in between. The second is Lucca — a booth at a major European comics and games fair, five days after the Steam page opened, is a physical marketing push rather than a digital one.

What the campaign promised

The Kickstarter story text is the longest thing the studio has written about the game, and it sets expectations the 2026 Steam page then updates:

PromiseCampaign text (early 2026)Steam page (Oct 2026)

The roster number moving from 70 to 85 between campaign and store page is the clearest signal that production is progressing rather than stalling.

What the studio has not published

No team size, no engine, no development history before the campaign, no publisher partner, no budget beyond the crowdfunding total, and no roadmap beyond "2028". If you see a claim that the game runs on a named engine, it is inference from the visuals — the studio has not said.

For a 2028 title, that is a thin public record, and it is the main risk factor on this page. A studio with 14,358 backers and €923,201 raised has obligations and a public to answer to, which is reassuring; a studio with no named engine and no team page is also one that has not yet shown it can ship. Both things are true.

How to watch development

The studio posts project updates to its own newsroom, not to Steam's news feed — the Steam news API returns nothing for this app, while the site lists four dated posts. The updates page mirrors those, and the wishlist page lists every channel worth following.
