The Neoran roster published so far
Fourteen Neoran named and described by Nara Studio, six with official portraits: habitats, temperaments and the one line that tells you what each is for.
Nara Studio has published 14 named Neoran so far: Pero, Alacris, Ankhat, Biskem, Chugaloo, Fortuna, Mehtyr, Noctivora, Owrion, Reversilk, Sagira, Valiant, Wakiza and Yakid. Steam's feature list puts the launch roster at 85 creatures.
Last checked: 28 October 2026 — studio creature pages; portraits are official artwork from the game's own site.
Steam says 85 creatures at launch. The studio has written thirteen of them up in detail plus one that only appears in a trailer. That is not a roster, it is a preview — but it is a preview with real names, real habitats and real personalities, and it tells you far more about the game than a stat table would.
The fourteen documented so far
| Neoran | Where it lives | What it is, in one line |
|---|---|---|
| Pero | Valley trees, then the ground | Spin-only communicator at the bottom of the food chain, utterly fearless |
| Alacris | Great Swamp | Scepter-carving spellcaster that treats itself as an expendable instrument of Neura |
| Ankhat | Scorching sands | Three bladed tails behind a heat mirage; meeting one is an omen |
| Biskem | The Valley's Forest | Hopping bird that rolls nonstop to vent stored Neura |
| Chugaloo | Grottoes | Bloodsucker storing months of meals in an ethanol-preserved body |
| Fortuna | Shore and seabed | Shell-sealed oracle that reads the future in its pearl |
| Mehtyr | Not stated | Brilliant, unorganisable, argues against its own conclusions |
| Noctivora | Not stated | Lone dancer that hypnotises prey, then poisons it |
| Owrion | Not stated | Star-worshipping owl-or-alien with councils of star readers |
| Reversilk | Not stated | Neura-reshaped spiders with silk shields, who speak backwards |
| Sagira | Not stated | Mercenary hunter with homing Neura arrows |
| Valiant | The valley skies | Solidified-Neura armour; dives into fights to protect the weak |
| Wakiza | The valley's seas | Crime boss of the seas, rules the Yakid, weak only to love |
| Yakid | Coastal areas | Maritime mob muscle; the Baseline Form of the Wakiza |
Six of them have official portraits
The studio publishes artwork for six creatures on its own site. They share a single art style — flat, chunky, slightly unsettling — and between them they set the tone for the whole roster.

Pero — bottom of the valley food chain, and completely unbothered by it.

Chugaloo — a grotto bloodsucker that stores months of meals at a time.

Mehtyr — asks a question, disagrees with the answer, argues with itself.

Yakid — small tusks, heavy charges, devoted to its clan's Wakiza.
What the roster tells you about the game
Three patterns are worth noting before launch, because they will shape how you build a team:
1. Habitats cluster into social structures. The seas have a mob (Wakiza rules the Yakid). The stars have a council (Owrion's star readers). The swamp has a cult (Alacris serving the will of Neura). Creatures are written as members of societies, which is exactly what the recruiting system needs — a creature with a goal can be negotiated with.
2. Several are built around a single gimmick. Pero spins. Reversilk speaks backwards. Fortuna reads pearls. That reads like a design where each recruit has one strong identity and one obvious weakness, which fits a game where team composition matters more than individual power.
3. One family is confirmed to evolve. The Yakid is the Baseline Form of the Wakiza. That means at least one creature on your team is a stage-one version of a boss-looking creature, and the evolution system is wired into the fiction rather than bolted on.
The roster gap
The documented fourteen cover roughly a sixth of the announced 85. The remaining seventy-odd have no names, no portraits and no descriptions in public — so any "complete Neoran list" you find today is either these fourteen recycled, or invented. This page will grow when the studio publishes more; the checked date at the top tells you how fresh it is.
